It’s festival season and Jersey City does not disappoint this summer. This Saturday, July 23rd, Chickpeajc and HayOner Present Forever Young: An Outdoor Music Festival in JC. It is a celebration of arts and culture and will be the first of an annual festival showcasing local artists and vendors. This event aims to bring together a diverse community with a wide range of music and activities that allow people to let loose, have fun, and get to know each other.
This festival is for people ages 18+ and will feature local musicians from all genres. There will be a host of bands but some confirmed acts are 7 TRiiiBES if you’re into hip hop, JC’s own rock and roll star Debra Devi, Bodega Dream which is a fusion of Hip Hop Indie Rock and Afropunk, and a bunch of DJ’s spinning awesome music you can dance to all night. Make sure you go hungry because there will be food trucks and vendors like Left Bank Burger and Milk Sugar Love if you want to beat the heat with some delicious homemade ice cream. Other vendors include Taproot Organics, House of Gains, 90s Hip Hop Junkie, Ed Harbison, and Villainous NY.
This event takes place from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM in Liberty State Park at The Pop Up Project at 1 Edward Hart.
