The 3rd annual Jersey City Earth Day Festival will be held on April 23rd at City Hall. You’ll be able to engage in interactive and educational workshops along with checking out some of your favorite local Jersey City businesses. The workshops hope to inspire residents to take action in:
- Adopting sustainable living practices
- Protecting your natural resources
- Responsible buying and consumption of locally provided goods.
Some workshops include; sustainable and green tech projects, wildlife lectures, recycling discussions and composting tutorials. There will also be live music, community organizations, and arts and crafts vendors. The past two festivals were a hit so make sure to check this event out!
Last year over 30,000 people attended the Earth Day Festival at Liberty State Park. It is one of the largest Earth Day events held in New Jersey! With over 100 vendors, you’re sure to find something to inspire you to help make healthy habits. The LSP Festival will also have live music and delicious food vendors present.
Last but not least, there’s the Earth Day 5k walk/run around Liberty State Park. It looks like it’s going to be another beautiful weekend in New Jersey as well! After the race refreshments will be served and you can keep the activities going and head over to the Earth Day Festival.
The light rail which is in front of Madox will take you directly to the park so you don’t need to worry about driving and parking, also helping the environment!
